Education

MBA (Magna Cum Laude), Boston University  / B. Science (Computer. Science) Deakin University, Australia

Experience

After graduating in 1985, Viji worked with Honeywell Systems within the Hong Leong Group in Malaysia for

two years.  In 1987 he joined the Malaysian group Usaha Tegas’s Finance and Technology Division as

Head of Software Development, based in the Philippines.

In 1988 he returned to Malaysia to head the Software & Systems Development Division of Pan Malaysian Pools,

a subsidiary of Tanjong Plc ( also part of the Usaha Tegas Group ). He remained there till 1995, when he received

a scholarship from the Usaha Tegas Group to pursue an MBA at Boston University.

Upon completion of the MBA (Magna Cum Laude), Viji rejoined the Usaha Tegas Group in their United States

office, Worldwide Satellite Broadcasting Inc., based in Los Angeles. He was assigned to work on the

requirements of the soon to be launched Digital Satellite Television operations. In 1997, he returned to Malaysia

to join MEASAT Broadcast Network Systems (ASTRO). Having held various positions within ASTRO in their

Technology Business Development Division, he was appointed Head of Internet Business in 1999.

In 2000, Viji left the Usaha Tegas Group and joined ICO Global Communications Inc. in Singapore as their

Regional Marketing Director, responsible for Marketing and Business Development of ICO's Satellite based data

systems and products.

In 2001, he left ICO and set up an independent consulting company to provide technology consulting services

to small and medium sized organizations. In this capacity, he has worked within several industries including

Automotive (Malaysia), Oil & Gas (Singapore), Pet Food Distribution (Washington State, USA) among others.

He has provided consulting services to Malaysian Government linked companies with regards to Internet

E-Commerce and the Government-to-Business Trading Systems.  Viji has also represented venture capital companies,

both in the United States and in Malaysia to review  proposed investments from a technology viability standpoint. He has

also conducted due diligence exercises on behalf of Malaysian Government funded venture capital companies. He

currently works in collaboration with an auditing organization to provide technology audit and consulting services to

their clients.
